Terms of Service

Effective May 12, 2026. Plain-English; the legalese version is in the appendix at the bottom.

What this covers

These Terms are the contract between you and Just Right News Corp (“Bureau”, “we”, “us”) when you sign up at auth.bureau.news or use any service hosted on bureau.news, *.bureau.news, or a custom domain you connect through Bureau.

The deal in one paragraph

You pay a flat monthly platform fee. We run the orchestration: tenancy, content pipeline, podcast mixing, custom-domain TLS, observability. You bring your own AI keys (Gemini, OpenAI, Anthropic, OpenRouter, ElevenLabs, Perplexity) and your AI bills land directly on your provider account, never marked up by us. You own your content and your data. You can export both and leave at any time.

Account & eligibility

What you can publish

Bureau is a tool for running real publications and private briefings. You’re the publisher; you’re responsible for what gets published. You agree to follow our Acceptable Use Policy. Anything in that document is grounds for suspension or termination.

AI output, accuracy, and your responsibility

Articles, scripts, and audio on Bureau are generated by large language models you’ve configured. LLMs make mistakes, hallucinate names, get dates wrong, and occasionally invert reality. Bureau ships a research layer designed to reduce this, but it does not eliminate it. You are the editor of record for everything that publishes from your bureau. We strongly recommend at least a daily skim of the day’s articles before they sit on your domain.

Your content; our license to host it

You retain all rights in the articles, episodes, images, and data you create on Bureau. To run the service, you grant us a limited license to store, transcode, serve, and back up your content. The license ends when you delete the content or close the account, except for backups that age out on our normal retention cycle (90 days), and except where law requires us to keep something.

Service availability

We aim for high availability and we don’t over-promise. Bureau is a young company on standard cloud infrastructure; there is no SLA on Trial, Operator, Brief, or Studio tiers. If you need a contractual SLA, talk to us about Enterprise (enterprise@bureau.news).

Billing

Platform fees ($89/$299/$799/mo) are charged monthly in advance via Stripe. Failed renewals trigger a grace period; if a charge ultimately fails, the bureau is paused (not deleted). Cancel anytime in Desk; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing month and there are no partial refunds. AI provider charges are not Bureau’s charges — they’re between you and your provider.

Suspension & termination

We may suspend or terminate a bureau that violates the AUP, abuses platform-funded resources (e.g., the first-run Gemini key for spam, bulk scraping, or repeat sign-up loops), or puts other tenants at risk. We’ll tell you why, in writing, and give you a window to export unless it’s a true emergency.

Warranty & liability

Bureau is provided “as is”. We disclaim implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for purpose to the extent allowed by law. Our aggregate liability is capped at the platform fees you’ve paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim. Neither side is liable for indirect or consequential damages. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that can’t be excluded by law.

Changes to these terms

We’ll post material changes here and email the account’s admin contact at least 14 days before they take effect. If you don’t accept a change, cancel before the effective date.

Governing law

Just Right News Corp is a Florida corporation. These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, USA, without regard to its conflicts of law rules. Disputes go to the state and federal courts sitting in Sarasota County, Florida.
